When you think about yellow, you immediately start thinking about summer. But the past seasons we took this colour in its many shades to other seasons as well. We have seen some mustard on the catwalks as one of the colours for spring already. So we’ll still be all about yellow in the future. But if your inpatient like me, you can just start wearing it already. Yes even during the winter you can pull it off. But do it right!
Mustard is a nice colour. But it’s so tricky to combine it! Don’t let it make your skin look ill or colourless. You can find mustard in a lot of seventies clothing. It can give you a perfect retro vibe. Combined with some rust colours or earth tones and it gives you the perfect seventies feel. Easy to put together, it will never clash. But there are so much more possibilities! Let’s give it a 2016 winter twist and pair it with a beautiful black outfit! Let’s bring this colour up to date with a stylish simple and sleek look.

If you want to make it a little playful. Than you are free to combine it with some other colors besides black or the obvious rust and brown shades. Take for example blue or pink. It doesn’t have to be about one color popping in your outfit. You can make them look perfect together without becoming a color book! Look at a perfect combination of bright blue and Mustard on the Victoria Beckham spring/summer 2016 catwalk or with different shades of blue like the Missoni Spring/Summer 2016 Women’s collection. Or if you are really willing to take a risk you can even combine it with pink like we saw at Prada’s Autumn/Winter 2015-16 collection.
